Sheryl was born in California and has been working in Senior Living for 11 years in Washington. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Recreation and a minor in Business Administration. What she loves most about being the Executive Director at The Ridge is building a vibrant community for residents to love, families to feel great visiting and where staff enjoy coming to work. According to Sheryl, many staff and residents had a say when it came to developing the community and because of that, The Ridge feels more like home to everyone.
Outside of work, Sheryl likes the outdoors and in the winter loves to ski. She has been married for 5 years, has 4 step children and a loving pug named Sadie. Sheryl’s future goal is to take a trip to South America with her Spanish speaking family. A fun fact about her is that in college she used to teach golf classes.
Director of Marketing
Gabby was born and raised in Salt Lake City and has been working in Senior Living for 12 years when she started as a caregiver for her grandmother. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Utah. What she likes most about working at The Ridge is getting the opportunity to get to know residents and their families and learning about their life experiences. She likes helping them learn about senior living benefits and being able to be a support system in their decision to move to a new home. Gabby admires the residents at The Ridge and all of their wonderful personalities.
Gabby is soon to be married, has a step daughter, a new puppy and a cat named Jaxon. She loves to learn new things and to write romantic novels.
Director of Marketing
Alyssa was born and raised in Seattle, WA and has been working in Senior Living 14 years. She has some college education in Business Administration. She loves being able to assist residents with making one of the biggest decisions in their life. Alyssa feels rewarded just working with residents on a daily basis and serving them, but helping them make the decision to move is most rewarding. Alyssa likes working with all of the staff and residents at The Ridge.
Outside of work she likes hiking, reading, taking her kids and dogs to park, working out, refinishing furniture, and likes to travel. She has been married for 4 years, has 2 children and 3 fur babies. Her future goal is to travel the world and visit all 50 states.
Assisted Living Director, RN
Curt has been working in senior living for the past 25 years. He was born in Salt Lake City and obtained his nursing degree from the University of Utah. Curt loves working at The Ridge because of the dedicated staff, the opportunity to problem solve in a team environment and the chance to make residents lives better.
Outside of work, Curt likes to golf, play guitar, travel and spend time in the outdoors. He has 6 children and his future goals are to visit all 50 states and to see the Southern Cross from New Zealand. A fun fact about Curt is that his first job was on horseback.
Vibrant Life Director
Misty’s role at The Ridge is to keep resident’s lives vibrant and ensure that they Live It Up! She has an 18-year background in event planning along with experience as a caregiver. Misty’s favorite thing about The Ridge is the residents and staff. She likes that the community has a home- like feel and has a great atmosphere. Everyone from staff to residents are positive and friendly.
In her spare time, Misty enjoys hiking, playing five different instruments, reading and photography. She has five children and has a future goal to become a nurse practitioner.
Thomas was born and raised in Chickasha, OK and has eight years of Maintenance experience. He holds certifications in Environmental Protection, CPSI, and Certified Pool Operator. He has worked in senior living a little over a year now and finds it more rewarding than any experience he has had. He loves being the person residents rely on to fix what is broken and developing an interpersonal relationship with them along the way. What he enjoys most in particular to The Ridge is the residents, staff and beautiful building.
Outside of work, Thomas likes to go hiking, geocaching and bike riding. He is currently engaged, has a daughter, and two fur babies. His future dream is to be a Maintenance Technician in space. A fun fact about Thomas is that he tends to be a bit of a jokester.
Business Office Director
Aracely has been working in senior living for 11 years, starting as a concierge and working her way into Skilled Nursing, where she has worked for the past four years before coming to The Ridge. She has some college education in Mathematics and is pro with numbers and handling insurance. What Aracely loves most about her job is the interaction she has with residents, families and employees. She loves helping people in any way possible.
For fun, Aracely likes hiking and going on evening walks. She loves watching sunsets, playing video games and visiting family. She comes from a large family and has an eleven-year-old son. Her future goals consist of one day managing a senior living community.
Resident Services Director
Karl is an expert at customer service with experience as a concierge and now as a Move in Coordinator, he knows just how to make residents feel at home and happy. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah in Health Promotion and Education. One thing Karl loves most about The Ridge is the residents and the staff.
For fun, Karl likes to play volleyball. He played for the University of Utah Men’s Volleyball team for three years. He also like travelling to try different foods. Karl is the youngest of four children and has developed two research publications.
Josh has nine years of customer service experience, which makes him an expert on knowing how to best serve residents, family members and visitors. His smile provides a great first impression of The Ridge. Josh loves working with the residents and considers it a privilege to get to learn from them on a daily basis. His favorite things about The Ridge is the beautiful building, the wonderful residents and the exceptional staff.
Josh is a musician at heart and loves to play the organ and piano. He loves driving and taking care of his Cadillac. His goal in life would be to travel the world and taste different foods, experience varies cultures and give back through meaningful service.
Culinary Service Director
Dara has been planning and preparing delicious cuisines for the residents at The Ridge for a little over a year now. Her favorite thing about working at the community is having the opportunity in making the residents happy through food.
Dara went to school at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts where she received an Associate’s Degree. She has worked as a Dietary Technician at the University of Utah Hospital where she gained most of her knowledge for special diets. After that, she then became a Sous Chef at The Grand America Hotel. This past experience gave her the opportunity to work with a lot of experienced chefs and also helped her to gain knowledge to open other properties such as Sun Valley Resort in Idaho and Little America in Flagstaff, AZ.
In her spare time, Dara is very family oriented. She has a 9-year-old daughter. She also has a chihuahua named Chloe. Dara has a great sense of humor and a comedic personality.
Generations Vibrant Life Assistant
Christina has been a crucial part in providing a Vibrant Life to the Generations residents at The Ridge. Christina’s favorite thing about working at the community in Generations is that everyone, from the residents to the staff and also including the management team, all have their own quirks and talents about them that make it a fun place to work. Christina has gained personal experience from living with her grandparents and learning a great deal from them during that time.
Christina enjoys eating lots of yummy savory, spicy, and sour foods along with her favorite food item; POTATOES. Christina is working on completing her Bachelor’s Degree with aspirations to be a more an even more vibrant person in the community!
Generations Program Director
Lejla is the heart and soul of The Ridge Generations Community. She helps residents, family members and staff remain happy while keeping the community well managed. Lejla loves the residents of The Ridge most about her job. Before coming to the Ridge, Lejla worked in skilled nursing for six years. She started as a caregiver then was promoted quickly to a caregiver supervisor. She has also served as a resident advocate and an Activities Director. Lejla has been a Memory Care Director for one year.
Lejla has three kids and loves going camping with them. She also has a dog that is a Shih Tzu /Poodle mix.
