Here’s what to bring.
It can be stressful to change assisted living accommodations, but transferring between assisted living communities doesn’t have to be a hassle. Here’s a list of items to bring. If you forget something, don’t worry. We’re here to help you every step of the way.
- Personal care products:
- Soap/Body wash
- Electric shaver
- Incontinence briefs/pads & wipes
- Lens cleaning cloth or wipes
- Denture cleaning supplies
- Plastic mattress protector and mattress cover
- At least 2 sets of:
- Bed sheets
All items should be labeled (clothes, shoes, linens, etc.).
Here’s what NOT to bring.
For safety reasons, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing the following items with you when you transfer from another assisted living community:
- Area rugs of any kind
- Bed rails
- Flowers/plants that aren’t edible
- Cell phones
Proper medication management for our residents is a top priority.
All medications will remain in a locked med cart, only accessible to the Med Tech. This includes prescription and over-the-counter medications. If you choose your own pharmacy, you’ll be asked to sign a Pharmacy Provider Information form in the move-in paperwork. Families will be responsible for providing medications 3 days before the current months’ supply runs out.
