Residents at The Ridge Engaging with Loved Ones in Unique Ways

The coronavirus pandemic has people from coast to coast staying safe inside their homes, making it challenging to celebrate the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday in the usual ways. But at The Ridge Cottonwood senior living community in Holladay, Utah, they’ve planned something special.
Residents friends and families decorated their cars and participate in a parade that went throughout the entire community. Tape marked a spot for each resident to watch the parade a safe 6 feet apart.
The Ridge Cottonwood also started a new initiative that provided residents the opportunity to visit their family and loved ones called Curbside Chats. Residents scheduled a 20-minute session to visit with their family outside, while the family members remain in their car.
