The Ridge Prepares for the Future of Senior Living | March 2021

The Ridge Senior Living is looking forward to building a brighter future for seniors. In a recent HEALTHTAC virtual conference, Mandy Hampton, the chief operating officer of The Ridge Senior Living, discussed the importance of technology and how it provides safety for residents and team members.

HEALTHTAC’s virtual conference aims to connect senior living leaders across the country. Hampton, along with Pilar Carvajal from Innovation Senior Living, focused on what safety in senior living communities will entail following COVID-19 vaccinations. Hampton says it’s important to stress technology and how it truly will help communities of the future.

“I believe there’s an ongoing demand for senior living and we’re already experiencing this firsthand,” Hampton told Senior Living News’ Editor Olivia Beaton. “We need to shape communities for safety and create a desirable senior lifestyle for future residents.”

Along with Hampton’s presentation, leaders discussed the challenges, benefits, and ways they can utilize technology more efficiently within communities. They also confronted the topic of ageism and how to combat stereotypes of their residents.
